Liberty House Restoration Center was created to provide more than temporary shelter—it exists to offer a pathway toward lasting transformation.
Our mission is to help individuals rebuild their lives through safe residential housing, spiritual development, structured daily living, and meaningful vocational training. We believe that lasting restoration happens when people are given the stability, support, and practical skills needed to create a new future.
Designed as a 40-bed residential campus in Sonoma County, Liberty House combines faith-based mentorship with real-world work experience. Residents will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills through four mission-driven industries: construction and landscaping, automotive services, culinary arts, and agriculture. These businesses are designed to provide hands-on training, meaningful employment opportunities, and a sustainable model that supports both personal growth and the long-term mission of the organization.
Our vision goes beyond helping individuals overcome homelessness, addiction, or reentry challenges. We are committed to restoring confidence, rebuilding families, developing leaders, and creating opportunities that allow people to become productive members of their communities.

As this is a residential opportunity, the program is designed around a structured experience residents move through together. While Liberty House is currently in the project phase and preparing for future operations, the vision is centered around structured daily life, spiritual development, vocational skill-building, mentorship, and long-term restoration.

The first supporting business linked to the site is Honey Do’s Handyman & Home Maintenance. These are entry-level opportunities that allow residential clients to gain practical work experience. As residents progress in knowledge and skill, they will evolve into better-paying, more lucrative positions.

Founder's Journey
Brian Taylor
Brian’s story is not a straight line. It is a walk through trades, faith, service, family, loss, and craft — and every step of it built the foundation of Liberty House.
The Early Years
Trades, Hardship & a Turning Point
Brian's working life began in roofing and construction. A season of homelessness followed, including time living in a tent — until he found the faith-based People of Excellence Center, where restoration first became possible.
Serving Others
From Resident to Interim Director
He rose from resident, to staff, to interim director of the program that welcomed him — later continuing that work at Mill St. Center and Homeward Bound of Marin, walking alongside people navigating homelessness.
Family & Loss
Marriage, Fatherhood, Divorce
A new chapter beyond homelessness: marriage, fatherhood, and the daily responsibilities of raising a family. After twelve years, a divorce reshaped the road once again.
Building Again
Skilled Trades & the Culinary Arts
Brian kept building — through construction trades and the Elevator Constructors union, then a return to school in Culinary Arts at Santa Rosa Junior College, followed by nearly a decade with Elaine Bell Catering.

Liberty House is currently in the project and development phase as we work toward creating a 40-bed restoration campus in Sonoma County. Although our residential program has not yet opened its doors, the mission is already underway. This website exists to share that vision, document our progress, and invite churches, community partners, donors, investors, and future supporters to become part of something that will create lasting impact for individuals, families, and the community.
